As a purely research based PhD, I had full autonomy over my time and schedule. I was able to complete my degree in 3 years through my organizational skills. I was awarded the prestigious Presidential Doctoral Scholarship, that is awarded to only 0.01% of accepted PhD applications (~0.002% of graduate applicants)

During my undergraduate studies, I found a passion for the crossover between Physics and Chemistry, so I completed an honours thesis and took extra Chemistry courses to complete a minor in the subject. I won the Physics Varma Scholar, which included many additional responsibilities like teaching a class of my peers and volunteer work at the local high school.
